Deeptha presents Sunday Kutcheri

14 year old V Deeptha (Disciple of Vidwan Dr. B. Umashankar) presented a lively Mikeless Kutcheri on Sunday (April 7) morning between 7am and 8am at the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore. Mikes and Speakers are not used at the Kutcheri. 
Applauded by an informal audience comprising of morning park walkers and Kutcheri regulars, Deeptha presented compositions that included Thyagarajar’s Parakuni Kelara (Kiranvavalli/Aadhi), Shyama Sastri’s Himachala Tanaya ( Anandha Bairavi /Aadhi), Muthuswamy Dikshithar’s Nanda Gopala (Yaman Kalyan/Aadhi), Puranadara Dasar’s Innudaya Bharathe ( Kalyana Vasantham/ Kanda Chapu), Papanasam Sivan’s Muruganey Bhaji Manamey ( Johnpuri /Aadhi) and Barathiyar’s Malarin Mevu ( Jog/ Aadhi).
Deeptha was accompanied on the Violin by Parur Ananthalakshmi and on the Mirudangam by A Rohith.
                            
N. Sriraman, Senior GM, Sundaram Finance presented certificates and mementos to the artistes.
