15year old Sai Nishanthi, a Class 10student of DAV School, Adambakkam presented a lively mikeless Sunday Kutcheri in the Park this Sunday (2 June) morning at 7am at the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore.
Sai Nishanthi has been learning music for 8 years and is currently learning from Mrs. Vasanthi Gopal.
She was accompanied on the Mridangam by Prabhakar M (Guru Therazhandur Shri Sundara Raghavan) and on the Violin by Vishveswaran R (Guru Shri Panchanathan).
Sai Nishanthi’s presentation included Karunai Seivaai (Hamsadvani), Swaminatha Paripaala Naatai (Adhi), Vaade Raa (Panthuvarali), Ninne Nammi (Thodi), Dhora Kuna (Bilahari), Mahadeva Siva (Revathi), Dheenanu (Desh) and Shree Rama Dhootha (Mohanam).
The idea behind the Sunday Kutcheri in the Park organised by Sundaram Finance is to promote young musical talent aged below 15 years and to help them shed their inhibitions and give them the confidence to move up to the next level.
Sundaram Finance conducts audition to select the artistes.
