Srinidhi presents versatile performance
14 year old S. Srinidhi’s choice of songs and versatile presentation came in for much appreciation from the informal park audience at the September edition of the mikeless Sunday Kutcheri in the Park organized by Sundaram Finance at the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore this morning.
Accompanied on the Mridangam by B. Venkatramanan (Guru Sri. Guru Raghavendra) and on the Violin by Venkataraman Ganesh (Guru Smt. Hemamalini), Srinidhi presented a wide range of songs that included compositions such as Thyagaraja’s Nenarunchi Naanu ( Maalavi Ragam, Adhi Thaalam), Papanasam Sivam’s Kaapali (Mohanam – Adhi), Periyasami Dooran’s Muruga Muruga (Saveri - Misra chapu) and the Thirupavai verse of Keezhvaanam Vellendru (Dhanyasi- Kanda Chapu).
Srinidhi’s presentation of Bharathiyar’s Bharata Samudayam Vaazhghave (Behag, Adhi) was specially appreciated by the park audience who had gathered in at the Chess Square of the Nageswara Rao Park.
Srinidhi is a student of Vidya Mandir, Mylapore and a disciple of Smt. Prema Hariharan.
C. Muralidharan, GM, Sundaram Finance was present on the occasion and presented certificates and mementos to the artistes.
